Career
Started as in-house lawyer in the fashion group Mango, at their global headquarters in Barcelona. Main focus in Business Law: sale-and-purchase agreements, well as commercial rentals, IP&IT, administrative procedure and corporate deeds.
I moved to Repsol, as part of their Young Talents’ Recruitment Program, where I went to be a lawyer specialised in contractual claims and negotiations at the Oil Trading business, mainly in Commercial and Maritime Law.
From Madrid I moved to London, joining BP Trading and Shipping, where I spent over five years across different parts of the Energy trading business. Initially, I took care of negotiations and claims with key clients, after which I started to operate and manage storage assets of petroleum products, to finally perform those same functions in a British LNG storage asset. I achieved detailed operating knowledge in joint ventures, European and British power regulations and rules for European LNG storage capacity auctions.
After that decade far from my native Galicia, I launch TEIRA AVOGADOS in 2021, Law firm specialised in the legal side of the Energy transition, with the ambition of assisting citizens, companies and public administrations in order to optimise the public and private assets and investments deployed to decarbonise the economy.
